Our Story

Hand in Hand, Always

Picture of Hand in Hand, Always

It started on a warm July night in 2014. The kind of summer night that smelled like possibility where everything seemed to align just right. The air was full of music, laughter, and conversations. Amid all the energy, somewhere in the crowd, Micah reached for Vivian's hand.

And from that moment their story began to unfold.

The night that began like any other turned into something more. It wasn't long before the hours melted into easy conversation, text messages between hang outs, and stolen afternoons spent laughing over 80's horror movies. They shared pan dulce like it was a secret love language, swapped favorite books, and each conversation left them feeling like they were the only two people in the world.

Then came their first date of wandering through the botanical gardens at UCR, where time slowed down, and everything seemed to bloom just for them. It was, without a doubt, their summer of love.

Summer turned into autumn, autumn turned into years, and their connection only deepened. From weekday Facetime calls to weekend road trips, they danced through live music, hiked national parks, flipped through vinyl records at little shops, and wrote love letters in between. They ran, flew drones, and embraced every moment, always knowing that their love had become something even stronger than before.

And then, in April 2024, at their favorite spot in Sedona, Micah and Vivian stood together beneath the grandeur of Cathedral Rock. Micah handed Vivian a pair of binoculars and told her to look for the vortex, completely unaware of the moment unfolding behind her.

"Oh look! I found a rock!" Micah said, playfully.

"Is it heart shaped?" Vivian asked, still looking through the binoculars.

"Take a look!" Micah said eagerly.

And when she looked there he was, kneeling, ring in hand, asking the question that had always been meant for them, "Will you marry me?"

And now here they are on their greatest adventure yet. Hand in hand, just as they've always been, stepping into forever.
